PROTECT YOUR RIGHT TO A REBATE
(Consider the FACTS - Avoid the TRAP - Follow my TIPS)

FACTS

From 1998 to 2004

Home Rebates / Closing Cost Contributions became LEGALIZED in FLORIDA, 40 Other States and the District of Columbia.

42,000,000 homes were purchased (6 million a year), yet only 40,000 home buyers (1 per 1,000) received a REBATE.

The $1,890 average rebate (1% of the $189,000 median sale price) SAVED home buyers a total of 75 MILLION DOLLARS.

41,960,000 home buyers (999 per 1,000) DID NOT receive a rebate.

Home buyers who DID NOT receive a rebate LOST 79 BILLION DOLLARS. (41,960,000 X $1,890 = $79,304,400,000)

2005 AND FUTURE YEARS

8.5 million homes are projected to be purchased EACH YEAR.

This year the average rebate will be approximately $2,600 (1% of the $260,000 median sale price).

It can also be projected that over 8 million, calendar year 2005, home buyers WILL NOT receive a rebate.

Those 8 million home buyers WILL LOSE OVER 20 BILLION DOLLARS in potential rebate savings. (8,000,000 X $2,600 = $20,800,000,000)

AVOID THE PROCURING CAUSE TRAP

"Unless PROCURING CAUSE is EXPLAINED to home buyers as they begin their home search, they will remain at a DISADVANTAGE and possibly face some potentially NASTY PROBLEMS that can TRAP THEM." (International Real Estate Digest, August 2000).

PROCURING CAUSE is defined as "the uninterrupted chain of events that ultimately results in a sale." It starts with your FIRST VISIT to any New or MLS resale home for sale.

Builders and Resale home listing agents REQUIRE that Buyer's Agents be with you on your FIRST VISIT to their homes for sale, because proper REGISTRATION is a fundamental principle of PROCURING CAUSE. It evidences BUYER REPRESENTATION and helps determine who receives a commission.

When Rebates are involved improper registration can be very costly. It's probably the main reason why 41,960,000 home buyers DID NOT RECEIVE a rebate from 1998 to 2005 and LOST 79 BILLION DOLLARS in potential rebate savings.
